Boye Ajayi
Boye Ajayi is Managing Director of Toyota by CFAO Nigeria. Over 20 years he has led businesses across Africa and Europe, and built a reputation for taking on the companies nobody else wanted to run.
He started in brand management at FrieslandCampina in Lagos, earned his MBA at the University of Bradford, then spent six years at GE in commercial and growth roles across Lagos, Houston and Aberdeen. In 2018 he became Managing Director of CFAO Yamaha Motor Nigeria, a business that had lost money for four years, and took it to breakeven in his first year. He went on to lead CICA Motors in Liberia, then in 2023 took the helm at Toyota by CFAO Nigeria.
Alongside his business career, Boye is a pastor and teacher. He believes the principles that build strong companies also build strong lives and families, and he teaches them plainly: how to grow a career, manage money with discipline and lead with integrity. He helped lead the Fix It conference, and he writes Unravel with Boye, a weekly note on leadership, money and faith.
His focus now is the next generation: helping young professionals prepare for the responsibility that’s coming to them, in business, church and family.
Boye is married with two sons and divides his time between Lagos and London.
